As a fellowship of believers, Poplar Springs desires to reach out to the world with the life-changing , live-giving message of Jesus Christ. We want to share the Gospel with those around us and to make disciples for Christ so that we may worship and glorify Him.

OUR HISTORY
Poplar Springs Baptist Church is the oldest church within the North Georgia Baptist Association and was organized by early settlers prior to the Trail of Tears. In 1836, the group constituted Poplar Springs Baptist Church, and so began the mission and ministry to the North Georgia area. The church was located at the Poplar Spring on Crow Creek near the foot of the hill where the church now stands. The name comes from a grove of yellow poplars trees which stood around the spring. ...
The Good News of Jesus
We can’t earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is believe you are a sinner, that Christ died for your sins, and ask His forgiveness. Then turn from your sins—that’s called repentance. Jesus Christ knows you and loves you! What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, your honesty. More than anything, God desires a personal relationship with you, and God has made a way when we call upon the name of Jesus in surrender and faith.
